One of the more popular knife styles is the Trapper, which has been in production since roughly the 1920s. It is named for the original purchasers and users of the knives – animal trappers who needed a lightweight yet strong, sharp knife for setting up traps and skinning game. Trapper knives are small to mid-sized jack knives, usually with two full blades – one clip blade, and one spey blade.
